اثر هاله‌ای یا خطای هاله ای چیست؟

اثر هاله ای اصطلاحی روانشناختی است که جامعه شناسان و روان جامعه شناختان، کارشناسان حوزه مدیریت و هدایت افکار عمومی و کارشناسان تبلیغات و فروش بیشتر از هر قشر دیگر با آن سر و کار دارند؛ که یا نسبت به تاثیرات منفی آن هشدار می دهند، یا از قدرت آن بواسطه ی تکنیک هایی بهره می برند!

اثر هاله ای، خطای هاله‌ای چیست؟

اثر هاله ای (halo effect) نوع از سو گیری یا خطای شناختی است که توسط تئوری آن توسط ادوارد ثراندایک روانشناس آمریکایی در سال ۱۹۲۰ میلادی کشف شد.

ثراندایک در تحقیقی از افسران مافوق ارتش خواست تا سربازانشان را بر اساس مدیریت، وفاداری، قابلیت اعتماد، هوش، و ویژگی های ظاهری درجه بندی کند. ثراندایک در پی این بود تا بفهمد کدام ویژگی روی ویژگی های دیگر تاثیر دارد. او دریافت که ویژگی های ظاهر( خوش چهره یا خوش تیپ بودن) روی عوامل دیگر تاثیر بسزایی دارد، به عبارت دیگر سربازی که خوش قیافه تر بود، باهوش، وفادار، مدیر، و قابل اعتمادتر ارزیابی می گردید.

هر چند که اثر هاله ای در ارتباط با تاثیر ویژگی های ظاهری تعریف شده و معروف می باشد، اما همانطور که ابتدای مقاله اشاره کردم اثر هاله ای می تواند در ارتباط با پدیده های مرتبط دیگر اتفاق بیفتد.

بنابراین اثر هاله ای، خطایی شناختی است که در آن افراد ویژگی مشخصی از یک انسان، شی یا هر پدیدۀ دیگری را مبنایی برای قضاوت دربارۀ کل آن قرار می دهند.

اثر هاله ای چه پیامد منفی ای می تواند داشته باشد؟

در صورت عدم شناخت کافی و کنترل آن، مطمئنا اثر هاله ای می تواند تاثیر منفی ای در زندگی ما داشته باشد. برای مثال فرض کنید شما به عنوان مدیر یک شرکت قرار است یک فرد مسلط و ماهر دربارۀ برنامه نویسی استخدام کنید ولی در فرایند مصاحبه تنها بخاطر آراسته بودن، اشتباه کرده و خسارت های مالی زیادی را متحمل می شوید و یا در انتخاب همسر تنها بخاطر یک ویژگی خاص (ثروتمند بودن، معروف بودن و مانند اینها) تصور می کنید که خوشبختی کامل در دسترس است اما این رخ نمی دهد و آسیب فراوانی می بینید.

مثال دیگر اینکه حتما شده بارها برای خرید کالا یا وسیله ای به فروشگاه ها مراجعه کردید، برخی فروشنده ها سعی می کنند با نورپردازی های حرفه ای و بسته بندی های زیبا شما را وادار به خرید کنند، بعد از خرید متوجه بی کیفیتی آن شده و در نتیجه احساس فریب خوردگی در شما بوجود می آید!

چه کار کنیم که تحت تاثیر این خطا قرار نگیریم؟

افراد در ارتباط با محیط خود غالباً به دو صورت تکانشی یا تاملی عمل می کنند. افراد تکانشی در واکنش ها و تصمیم ها سریع عمل می کنند و کمتر فکر خود را درگیر ساخته و متکی بر هیجانات هستند ولی افراد تاملی اینگونه نیستد، این افراد سعی می کنند با تفکر و صبر بیشتر با محیط خود تعامل کنند

برای مثال در انتخاب همسر اگر شما آگاهی و اطلاعات کافی و در نتیجه درک لازم را داشته باشید تنها یک عامل مشخص نمی تواند شما را به اشتباه بندازد. اگر در ارتباط با خرید کالایی نیز شما اگر اطلاعات کافی داشته باشید غلوها و توصیفات ناصحیح فروشنده نمی تواند شما را به اشتباه بندازد و یا حداقل احتمال اشتباه شما را کاهش می دهد.
